Representative Rick Hansen's Dog Park Bill

Remember the Outdoor Amendment we voted on last
November? Remember how we were
told this money
was needed for clean water and the outdoors?
While our state
is facing the largest deficit in
its history, House District 39A Representative

Rick Hansen has introduced a bill to fund dog
parks to the tune of one million dollars in years
2010-2011. Below is from his legislative update
email.

DOG PARK GRANTS

Yesterday I introduced HF 297 which would use the
new Constitutional money for parks and trails to
establish a dog park grant program. This would
provide assistance in the metro area to establish
and maintain dog parks. A copy of the bill is at
this link:

That money is earmarked already and can't be spent for anything but the outdoors. At least someone has stepped up to propose a use for it...

Yeah. For a dog park. I am sure the well informed voters of 39A were thinking of that "priority" when they voted for it.
