In Congress, during a meeting to further discuss the AIG bailout and other issues, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R- Dist 6) pushes U.S. Secy of Treasury Timothy Geitner and Federal Reserve Chair Ben Bernanke on the constitutionality of their actions. Some of Geitner's expressions tell it all. They don't care about the Constitution or our government. At approx the 3 minute mark, Geitner mentions "your government" while answering Bachmann. Isn't it Tim Geitner's government too? Who is this guy working for?

Amazing.
Note that "Stigma" is a Bad Thing. Transparency is not an issue.
Also notice that it is presumed that Mr. Geitner was puzzled that a constitutional question should be raised about "the law".
The fact is that the TARP legislation was an atrocious abdication of congressional responsibility, and probablly unconstitutional. Mr. Geitner is probably right to presume that the authority that he was given is valid.
And this is why Michelle Bachmann is so popular in the Republican party!
